2023 was, without a doubt, a challenging year in my life. A few months ago we left Spain, where we had lived for the past 9 years, with no place yet to call home. We are currently between homes and countries. This past year I’ve been working on several projects and the portfolio for my young company, while constantly trying to improve my skills on different fronts. I’ve pushed and challenged myself, and I’ve learned a lot.

It’s been a fruitful and exciting year. It has also been heartbreaking at times.
I lost a cousin this year. She was a year younger than me. We grew up together, and I loved her like a sister. I will always love her.
Shortly after, a little less than 4 months ago, my mom passed away as well, on her birthday. I had the opportunity to spend some time with her before she left us, helping where I could. I will forever be grateful for our time together, for the conversations we had, the fun things we got to do, the many hours of reading together, and the chance to be there, in good times and bad. 

There were also countless moments of beauty and wonder this year. I read life-changing books and listened to some fantastic albums. I got to meet a few special people and hear their stories. Thank you for sharing them with me. You know who you are.

I was also lucky enough to get to travel this year, seeing art and architecture in the company of my best friend as we went through this eventful and miraculous year together, experiencing everything it brought our way. Ultimately, it’s all about moments. And this year offered some wonderful moments indeed.

The photos immortalize a few of these moments. Some led me to new projects, but they all mean a lot to me for a variety of reasons. I’m sharing these personal moments without too much explanation in the hope that some of them will have meaning for you on your own journey.
